8th June 2003 Windsurfing: Knap Barry Wind Direction: s.w. Wind Stength: 20mph Surf / Sea State: big chop Air Temperature: 15 Sea Temperature: ok Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: First day out for the best part of a month due to another lot of torn ligaments this time in my lower back . Great day all the local hotshots out ripping , some half decent jumps on the chop out in the channel , one really good run out saw martin mussels pull off a monster jumping over the top of one of the lads ( who was already airboure himself) only on landing to snap his ahd clean into two bits , i,m a sorry case but fell off laughing before running over the top of him . But after laughter subsided realised that getting him back was a bit of a problem as the three of us where about 1.5m or more out in the channel , the back half of the board had floated away leaving just the bit from the mast track forward. Cut the story short left one mate with him and sailed back in to phone coast gaurd , all ended well . Continued sailing untill 7.30pm for a good day all round. would normally give a session like this a 4* but due to not really going for anything mad breaking me back in give it 3* |
